Storm & Sanitary Sewer Drain Diagnostics & Repair

There are two types of drainage systems that make up a home’s drain layout. The storm sewer, which accommodates all outdoor drainage such as gutter systems, yard drains and driveway crocks. Secondly, there is the sanitary drain. The sanitary line drains all in house floor drains and fixtures such as sinks, toilets, tubs and showers.

From small blockages and repair to entire main sewer cleaning, drain cleaning and replacement, A.C. Plumbing offers a wide variety of services for both the storm and sanitary drains.

Storm and Sanitary Main

Each drain line ties into a larger diameter drain called the main. The sanitary main, which connects to all in house fixtures, runs from the house to either a city main or a septic tank. When a sanitary main gets blocked, the immediate evidence is shown at floor drains that are over flowing and toilets not flushing correctly throughout your home. The storm drain, which is connected to all outdoor drains such as gutters and downspouts has a main run and ties into the city main. These mains are susceptible to blockages because of their long distances to the cities mains and exposure to root intrusion.

A.C. Plumbing will take immediate action with our sewer cutting cable machines or high power jet water machines to blow out and clear any and all debris in the line to ensure proper drain cleaning. Video camera and location diagnostics may be necessary to locate broken sections or heavy root intrusion inside the main causing the drain flow to become slow and blocked.
